Stephanie Carswell
Stephanie Carswell serves as Chief Operating Officer of Brownlee Whitlow & Praet, PLLC, where she leads the firm’s business operations and works with the leadership team to keep people, systems, and priorities aligned as BWP grows.
Stephanie brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across legal services, real estate, retail, and other industries. Before joining BWP, she was COO of a multi-location North Carolina family law firm, overseeing operations, finance, marketing, HR, intake, and business development. Previously, she held senior executive roles in real estate, leading multi-market operations, recruiting, and leadership development—experience that gives her a firsthand understanding of the industry and the businesses BWP serves.
She believes organizations perform best when people have clarity, ownership, and the support to do their best work. To her, leadership is about serving others by listening well, removing obstacles, and helping people grow.
In addition to her civilian career, Stephanie served as a Civil Affairs Sergeant with U.S. Army Special Operations. Born in Virginia and raised in Texas, she has called the Triangle home since 1999. Stephanie has been married for over 20 years and has four children: Corbin, Kyler, Kinsley, and Camden. Outside of work, she loves traveling anywhere she hasn’t been before, is always reading a leadership or personal development book, and enjoys exploring new breweries with her husband, Kevin.
