Samantha Simpson
Samantha is a Partner at Brownlee Whitlow & Praet, PLLC and serves as Director of the firm’s North Carolina Rental Housing Department. Her practice focuses on real estate litigation, where she represents residential and commercial property owners and managers across North Carolina. In her leadership role, Samantha oversees the department’s operations and strategy, working closely with clients to deliver efficient, consistent, and results-driven legal solutions in an evolving regulatory landscape.
With a strong foundation in civil litigation, Samantha has extensive experience handling a wide range of real estate disputes, including landlord-tenant matters, property management issues, rezoning disputes, and other land use concerns. She is known for her practical, business-minded approach and her ability to manage high-volume caseloads while maintaining a focus on client objectives and outcomes.
Originally from Eagle River, Alaska, Samantha earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage before relocating to North Carolina to attend Charlotte School of Law. She began her legal career in Charlotte in 2017, quickly developing a focus on real estate and land use litigation. She joined Brownlee Whitlow & Praet, PLLC in 2018, where she has played a key role in the growth and success of the firm’s North Carolina practice.
Samantha lives in Charlotte with her husband, Josh, and their two dogs. Outside of BWP, she enjoys cooking and traveling. Samantha and Josh welcomed their first baby boy in 2026!
