Gentry grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, before moving to Charleston, South Carolina to attend the College of Charleston. Gentry earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2015, and decided to stay in Charleston for law school, obtaining her Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2019. Prior to joining Brownlee, Whitlow, and Praet, Gentry gained experience in real estate law, corporate and banking law, and bankruptcy law. Gentry is licensed in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Gentry moved to Charlotte in 2019 with her husband, Rob, and their chocolate lab, Samson. On the weekends, Gentry enjoys exploring Charlotte, going on hikes, and kayaking on Lake Wylie.
