Brian grew up in Floyd, Virginia, a small, rural town located in the Blueridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. Brian received a Bachelor of Science in History from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. He then went on to obtain a Master of Arts in History from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. After finishing graduate school, Brian married his college girlfriend and moved to the Triangle area of North Carolina. He worked in higher education, customer service, sales, and in the financial services industry before attending law school in the Evening Program at North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina.
Brian obtained the degree of Juris Doctor and was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2018. After law school, he worked as Staff Counsel for a large financial institution where he gained valuable experience in civil litigation and property management law.
When not working, Brian spends most of his time with his wife, three sons, and family dog. He can often be found with them at the pool, lake, or beach. Brian also enjoys hanging out with friends and family, watching sports, especially football, attempting to play guitar, and anything related to Scottish History.
